Wrapping up another 1001 days

In October of 2015, I set out to accomplish 101 things in 1001 days.  I have never had much luck with resolutions and thought this would be an easier way to reach larger goals in smaller chucks.  This was my 3rd attempt at organizing my goals this way and thought it was time to wrap up my achievements before I started my next 1001 days.  
What I set out to complete this list, I had my sights on retiring from the military and helping my family transition.  So, lets see how I did…
Intellectual
1. Join PRSA (Complete, March 2016)
2. Finish ACSC (Moot, no longer valid since I retired)
3. Get APR+M certification(Moot, PR no longer my profession)
4. Starting using a planner(Complete, Jan 2018)
5. Create and follow a weekly schedule (Close, not quite committed)
6. Memorize Girl Scout Law (fail!)
7. Read Friday Night Knitters (fail!)
8. Give myself one hour each day for whatever(Kinda)
9. Read the book daily (fail!)
10. Read the entire book in one year (fail!)
Fitness
1. Lose 14 24 lbs (actually got bigger with health issues)
2. Get BMI down to 24 (fail!)
3. Score highest PT test ever before retiring (Complete, Best score in 2015)
4. Run 1.5 mile in under 14:00 (Complete, 2015)
5. Complete 42 Push-ups (fail!)
6. Complete 42 Sit-ups (fail!)
7. Bring waist measurement down to 31.5 inches (fail!)
8. Work back up to running a 5K easily (fail!)
9. Complete full round of Power 90 (working on this now)
10. Complete full round of P90X (fail!)
11. Quit smoking (I have until 2020)
12. Start drinking at least 64 oz of water each day (fail!)
13. Start taking vitamins daily (I am doing this)
15. Motivate K & Z to be more healthy and active (daily struggle)
Crafting
1. Read all my knitting books (Ha, ha, ha!)
2. Skim my knitting books and mark patterns (more then halfway through)
3. Skim my knitting books and mark helpful articles (more then halfway through)
4. Post to blog at least three times per week (restarting this goal)
5. Design three patterns (more then halfway through)
6. Get one knitting pattern published (more then halfway through)
7. Submit pattern to Knitty(Done!)
8. Submit pattern to KP(Moot, program changed)
9. Submit pattern to third publication (fail!)
10. Organize new craft area(I did but then we moved!)
11. Organize my craft library (complete, Jan. 2016)
12. Knit from my library (fail!)
13. Design perfect craft room(Not exactly possible in new house)
14. Journal my good ideas(Actively)
15. Knit at least one thing from each of my books (fail!)
16. Knit Sweaters for each member of the family (fail!)
17. Make gifts for Jenkins (fail!)
18. Finish spinning the Dreaded Fleece (fail!)
19. Knit sweater from Dreaded Fleece (fail!)
20. Hand card one alpaca second (Decided to make Dryer balls)
21. Drum card one alpaca second (Decided to make Dryer balls)
22. Spindle spin one alpaca second (Decided to make Dryer balls)

24. Reopen Etsy Store(Done)
25. Make each girl a skirt(They only want socks)

Personal Relationships
1. Help K achieve Gold award (so close!  She finished the project but not the report in time)
2. Help Z achieve Gold award(Relocation killed this)
3. Help K transition to college (Success!)
4. Put out Christmas cards (Once in 3 years, sigh)
5. Find a craft group(Yay! In Colorado)
6. Work on discipline with Z (on going struggle)
7. Call my mom at least once a month (I call her more often than this.)
8. Give in to M’s Spontaneity every once in a while(we have done some interesting stuff)
9. Surprise the girls quarterly(less then perfect record)
10. Hang out with T on a regular basis(Moot. We live in different states)
11. Organize/backup photos (fail!)
12. Start Girl Scout scrapbooks (fail!)
13. Help M decide where he wants to land (lord, he’s tough)
14. Take at least 2 real vacations(2 down!)
15. Keep Z away from the dark side(I think we are winning this battle)
16. Get Z into something physical (Complete! she chose hockey and loves it!)
17. Get the family back to church (fail!)
Home
1. Research investment funds (fail!)

3. Start/continue using a planner(Yes!)
4. Sort through our stored stuff (Complete!)
5. Clean my room(Done!)
6. Keep my room clean(Kinda)
7. Organize home files (fail!)
8. Put things away when I am done with them(Kinda)
9. Clean for at least 15 minutes each day(On track!)
10. Make girls clean up after themselves each night (fail!)
11. Create a budget (Complete! June 2016)
12. Follow a budget (Kinda)
13. Pay off my credit card(Done!)
14. Set up automatic payments on house(Done!)
15. Get accountant (fail!)
Work
1. Build civilian resume (Complete! May 2016)
2. Get professional head shot (Complete! Oct. 2016)
3. Add client to consulting (Complete-ish! On a charity board instead)
4. Finish building my brand (Almost there)
5. Build exit strategy(I totally exited!!!)
6. Plan retirement ceremony (Complete! July 2016)
7. Take FEMA online classes(Moot.  PR no longer my field)
8. Take the new online PA courses (Canceled! No longer active duty)
9. Lay groundwork for ITK position (Complete! Got the job)
10. Decide where to settle(Done!  Colorado)
11. Learn how to do my next job (Complete!)
12. Build professional wardrobe (On going struggle)
Charity
1. Do something selfless every month (fail!)
2. Knit something for Charity once annually (fail!)
3. Contribute time to GSs once a quarter (fail!)
4. Participate in prayer shawl group (fail!)
5. Donate clothes to charity quarterly (Not hard when the girls were growing)
I didn’t accomplish as much as I had hoped but I knocked out some of the biggies.  I am about to launch my next list with even more concrete goals.  I think this will definitely aid in my success.
