Reintroducing Rubrick

From simple inspiration to a simply stunning design.

Rubrick Shawl

Inspiration comes from many sources. Rubrick grew out of my fascination with the colors in an info graphic. More than that, it was an infographic for MOPP gear, of all things.

I walked past that graphic hanging on a bulletin board in my office building for nearly two years before I figured out what I wanted to do with it.

My love of garter stitch played a pretty big role in this design as well. This pattern turned out to be a great introduction to intarsia in an easy to execute stitch pattern.

One of the things I love most about this design is the color possibilities.  The sample is done in 2 colors, but you can easily pull this off in 7 colors or 12!  I have plans to do a version in 7 colors with a neutral on one side and 6 colored on the other.

This pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry and also through KnitPicks.
